I've been painting ever since I could walk. Whether it was on the back of paper menus, a sticky note or whatever I could find, I was always drawing something. I grew up in Gainesville Florida. Then moved to Savannah Georgia and received my BFA in illustration with a minor in photography from SCAD.

Acrylics are definitely my favorite to work with. I use bright colors and bold outlines in my portraiture. They also dry quickly and so I can develop layers of texture within the line work and create tiny details.

Inspiration
Vincent Van Gogh is my number one favorite artist. He created 2,100 artworks in his lifetime and only started painting when he was 27. His expressionist style and use of emotion in his brushstrokes have molded me into the artist I am today.
