Art was always an essential part of my life growing up. No matter where I went I was always drawing, whether it was on the back of paper menus or a sketchbook. Just so happens my favorite thing to draw were dogs or Scooby Doo. So of course it makes sense this is what I was meant to do!
I grew up in Gainesville Florida and graduated from Gainesville High in 2010. After graduation I moved to Savannah Georgia and received my BFA in Illustration with a minor in photography from Savannah College of Art & Design.
Now I currently manage Painting with a Twist, vend at local art markets, and create custom one of a kind Pet Portraits.

Acrylics are definitely my favorite to work with. I use bright colors and bold outlines in my portraiture. They also dry quickly and so I can develop layers of texture within the line work and create tiny details.

Vincent Van Gogh is my number one favorite artist. He created 2,100 artworks in his lifetime and only sold one painting. His expressionist style and use of emotion in his brushstrokes have molded me into the artist I am today.
